Who do you support?
We support men, women and children within Lincolnshire who have been affected by rape and sexual abuse. As well as supporting survivors, we also offer counselling and support to the friends and family of survivors.
How much do counselling sessions cost?
Absolutely nothing, it’s free to receive counselling from us. We welcome donations of course but there is no obligation to donate anything at all.
Other counselling places have told me I can only have a certain number of counselling sessions, is that the same with you?
No, we don’t limit the number of sessions you can have. You and your counsellor will review how things are going on a regular basis and decide together when you’re ready to end.
Where are you?
At the moment all of our counselling sessions are held at our centre in Grantham. We hope to offer counselling in other parts of the county in the near future.
Will I see the same counsellor each week?
Yes, you will.
I’d like to see a male or a female counsellor. Is that possible?
It is. We have both male and female counsellors, though you might have to wait slightly longer until a counsellor who meets your needs becomes free.
Can I bring someone with me?
You are welcome to bring someone with you but they need to wait in the waiting room while you are seeing your counsellor.
What’s an ISVA? I’ve never heard of that before
You can find out more here but basically an ISVA offers both practical and emotional support. They also help guide you through the criminal justice process if you choose to report, though you don’t have to report to work with our ISVA
