Volunteer with us
We are always looking for people to volunteer with us, we cannot run our service without the people who choose to dedicate their time to us.
We have volunteer opportunities in a wide range of areas including:
• Counselling service
• Admin and office duties
• Service promotion
We encourage our volunteers to get involved with all aspects of supporting Trust House Lincolnshire, including supporting fundraising efforts, advocacy and promoting the service.
To be a support volunteer you do not need to have experience in working or volunteering in this sector but you will need excellent listening skills and an empathetic and caring nature.
We provide induction training, as well as regular support and supervision.
To volunteer as a counsellor you will be expected to have completed at the minimum, a Level 4 counselling Diploma (or final year attendance) and to have gained a minimum of 50 hours of placement counselling experience. Membership of BACP is a requirement. Due to the nature of the work we also require you to have undertaken at least 30 hours of personal therapy. For those that are currently completing their counselling training at a lower level we welcome applications for manning our support line.
We also welcome applications from qualified counsellors who are looking to gain experience in a specialised area of work, or accreditation hours.
