About Trust House Lincolnshire
Trust House Lincolnshire is a specialist rape and abuse support centre, set up to offer support, counselling and advocacy to those – males, females, children and also the supporters of survivors – affected by rape and sexual abuse. We offer a safe space where survivors can access our services to help improve their wellbeing, regain their confidence and self-esteem and be empowered to reclaim their lives.
Trust House Lincolnshire provides a confidential phone line offering emotional support, information and referral to our counselling and support services. Our phone line is manned by volunteers and is currently still being developed; therefore it is not manned continuously. However there is an answerphone where a message can be left and a member of the team will endeavour to get back to you as soon as possible.
Our specialist counselling service is provided by volunteer counsellors. Our Clinical Leads, who have extensive experience of supporting survivors of sexual violence and abuse, complete all initial assessments for those being referred to our counselling service and provide supervision for all client work. Counselling sessions are led by client needs; as well as general talking therapy some of our counsellors can also offer more specialised creative therapy such as art or play therapy. Family and children counselling sessions are based around play therapy.
We also provide an adult ISVA service. Our Adult Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA) provides practical and emotional support for adults who have experienced sexual abuse or sexual exploitation at any time. They will also support you through the criminal justice process if necessary. Support and advice is also offered to family or carers.
Thanks to core funding from the Ministry of Justice, we are supported by The Survivors Trust, a national umbrella agency for specialist rape and sexual violence support services.
